Absolutely perfect! I've been trying to understand how to use all or at least some of the features of the receiver and especially the remote.
Copy of genuine owners/operators manual, very useful
The manual was a perfect match and was exactly what I was looking for. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
Thank you for having the manual I needed for an older model Aiwa stero I had found on Ebay --- I wanted the Aiwa because I had tapes and cd's but I did not have a manual as to how to operate the system... I found what I needed and it has enabled me to set the system up for my enjoyment.
I wished detailed information of the JBL S310 and here I found it! Very happy with the service from this site!
5: Setting up the speakers
You can use the SET UP menu to set the size, distance and location of the speakers connected to this receiver.
x SUB WOOFER XXX (Sub woofer selection)
⢠YES If you connect a sub woofer, select âYESâ. ⢠NO If you did not connect a sub woofer, select âNOâ. The front speakers are automatically set to âLARGEâ and you cannot change this setting. This activates the bass redirection circuitry and outputs the LFE signals from other speakers. ⢠In order to take full advantage of the Dolby Digital bass redirection circuitry, we recommend that you set the cut off frequency on the sub woofer as high as possible.
x FRONT SP XXXXX (Front speakers size)
1 2 3
Press ?/1 to turn on the receiver. Press MAIN MENU repeatedly to select â SET UP â. Press or repeatedly to select the parameter you want to adjust.
For details, see âSpeaker setup parametersâ below.
Some speaker setup items may appear dimmed in the display. This means that they have been adjusted automatically due to other speaker settings or may not be adjustable.
⢠LARGE If you connect large speakers that will effectively reproduce bass frequencies, select âLARGEâ. Normally, select âLARGEâ. ⢠SMALL If the sound is distorted, or you feel a lack of surround effects when using multi channel surround sound, select âSMALLâ to activate the bass redirection circuitry and output the front channel bass frequencies from the sub woofer. When the front speakers are set to âSMALLâ, the center, surround and surround back speakers are also automatically set to âSMALLâ (unless previously set to âNOâ).
x CTR SP XXXXX (Center speaker size)
Turn â/+ to select the setting you want.
The setting is entered automatically.
Press ENTER if you select the setting for âSP. PATTERN XâXâ.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have set all of the items that follow.

x SP. PATTERN XâX (Speaker setup pattern)
⢠LARGE If you connect a large speaker that will effectively reproduce bass frequencies, select âLARGEâ. Normally, select âLARGEâ. However, if the front speakers are set to âSMALLâ, you cannot set the center speaker to âLARGEâ. ⢠SMALL If the sound is distorted, or you feel a lack of surround effects when using multi channel surround sound, select âSMALLâ to activate the bass redirection circuitry and output the center channel bass frequencies from the front speakers (if set to âLARGEâ) or sub woofer.a)
