[Setting Method of Test mode]
Short TP701 (TEST) on the MAIN board with a solder bridge (connect pin yf of IC701 to the ground). Then, turn on the power. 1. Audio test â¢ A howling occurs with â5P DSP LOOPâ displayed on the LCD, if the [REC START/STOP] key is pressed. â¢ The mute turns on, if [ > +] key is pressed. â¢ The mute turns off, if [-- .] key is pressed. â¢ The microphone sensitivity becomes high, if the [HOLD] switch turned off. â¢ The microphone sensitivity becomes low, if the [HOLD] switch turned on. 2. Sleep/Wake up test â¢ Pressing the [Nx] key causes the set to enter sleep state. â¢ Pressing another key causes the set to release sleep state. 3. LCD check â¢ LCD light up all, if the [STOP] key is pressed. â¢ Even segment of LCD light up as shown below, if the [FILE] key is pressed. LCD display

4. Beep sound check â¢ A beep (2.4 kHz) is kept sounding, if the [MENU] key is pressed. â¢ A beep stop sounding, if another key is pressed. 5. Power supply check â¢ The battery is on the O.K. level when the [OPR] LED lights in green only, or it is off. â¢ The battery is on the mark lighting level when the [OPR] LED lights in green and blinks in red repeatedly. â¢ The battery is on the inactive level when the [OPR] LED blinks in red only.

[Releasing Method of Test Mode] Turn off the power. Then, open the solder bridge on TP701 (TEST) on the MAIN board. [Operation of Setting on Test Mode] When the test mode is set, the LCD displays âTESTâ and [OPR] LED lights in green. Note: The [OPR] LED turn off, if a key operated.
