Thank you for having the manual I needed for an older model Aiwa stero I had found on Ebay --- I wanted the Aiwa because I had tapes and cd's but I did not have a manual as to how to operate the system... I found what I needed and it has enabled me to set the system up for my enjoyment.
I wished detailed information of the JBL S310 and here I found it! Very happy with the service from this site!

Tape â Recording
Recording your favorite CD tracks on a tape
â CD-TAPE Synchro Recording
You can record a whole CD on a tape. You can use TYPE I (normal). Use buttons on the unit for the operation.
Recording on a tape manually
â Manual Recording
You can record just the portions you like from a CD on a tape. You can also record a radio program. Use buttons on the unit for the operation.
Load a recordable tape. Load a CD you want to record.
Load a recordable tape. Select the desired source to record.
When you want to record an album from an MP3 disc, be sure to press PLAY MODE to select ALBM, then use ALBUM +/â to select the desired album before proceeding.
Press CD SYNC.
âSYNCâ and âRECâ appear. The tape deck stands by for recording and the CD player pauses for playback.
â¢ TUNER: To record from this systemâs tuner. â¢ CD: To record from this systemâs CD player. â¢ MD/VIDEO: To record from the optional component connected to the MD/VIDEO jacks. â¢ WIRELESS (CMT-HPX10W only): To record from the optional component connected to the transmitter.
Press X TAPE.
Press z REC.
Recording starts. When the recording is completed, the CD player and the tape deck stop automatically.
âRECâ appears and the tape deck stands by for recording.
Press X TAPE, then start playing the desired source to record.

You can record only your favorite CD tracks using Program Play. Between steps 2 and 3, perform steps 1 to 4 of âCreating your own programâ (page 13).

Press x. Press X TAPE.
For recording from a CD, you can press ./> to select tracks during recording pause mode (after step 3 and before step 4).
